El Paso Holocaust Museum & Study Center (EPHM) is seeking an energetic team player for the position of Development Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating the majority of EPHM’s development activities, including grant writing, special event coordination, and annual giving campaigns. The qualified applicant will be a proven grant writer who recognizes the importance of strong community relationships and positive internal collaborations.

This full-time, professional position offers a competitive salary of $36,000 – $38,000 (dependent on experience) with a generous vacation package. EPHM’s work schedule is as follows: Tuesday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and one Saturday per month, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Grants & Underwriting Program

The Development Coordinator will:

  • Work with the Executive Director to research and develop a cohesive fund development strategy that complements and supports the Museum’s mission and long-term strategies;
  • Identify individual, corporate and foundation prospects in order to develop an annual grants strategy;
  • Write high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents.

Special Events Coordination

The Development Coordinator will:

  • Work closely with Executive Director and Committees to support three annual fundraising events per year (Golf Tournament, Tour de Tolerance, and Flights & Bites);
  • Create sponsorship solicitation packets for each event, obtain in-kind donations, auction items, and other non-monetary event support;
  • Promote events to donors and general public through marketing materials, social media, and media outlets;
  • Assist in logistical aspects of presenting a high-quality fundraising event, including set up and take-down of the event and support during the event.

Individual and Corporate Giving Campaigns

The Development Coordinator will:

  • Maintain donor records using Past Perfect system, assist with the production and implementation of appeal campaigns and other fundraising communications and strategies;
  • Research and solicit new donor relationships during fundraising events and at outreach events

 

Position Requirements –

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Experience: Preferred – 1-2 years of development- related experience and/or grant writing experience

  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 20-25lbs.
  • Must be able to work independently but also be part of a cohesive team
  • Willing to work occasional nights as required and one weekend shift per month.
