Temple Mount Sinai

During this annual commemoration, El Paso Holocaust survivors, their children and grandchildren will share their memories of liberation and life after the Holocaust, as well as poignant messages and responses for future generations. Eleven memorial candles will be lit – in remembrance of the millions of lives stolen by the Nazi regime. The theme for EPHM’s 2019 Yom HaShoah is “Through Their Voices: Whispering Into the Ear of the Next Generation.” Through the powerful words of local Holocaust survivors and their descendants, their lives and legacies will be honored and carried on.
On this day, it is not only imperative to remember and reflect on the history and impact of the Holocaust but also to respond, to act in the face of inhumanity and injustice today. El Paso Holocaust Museum invites the community to join in memorializing the tragedy of the Holocaust, and honoring the survivors and their descendants, while also taking a stand against bigotry and intolerance. There is no charge to attend, and all are invited.
Yom HaShoah has been generously underwritten by the Jewish Federation of Greater El Paso.
